i suppose you could gather some friends, track someone down, show up on their doorstep and kick their arse. cause that's the logical next step from here.
and then say owned.
and then offcourse you'll be highlighted in various medias and by police as the sad no life ignorant degenerate you really are.
in other words.. and i mean this quite sincerely: get a life and a clue you stupid moron. if your gonna condone that kind of action your about as sad and deserving as a steaming pile of dung.
regardless what this person had done, the overzealous vigilante style like this and similar occations, like the guy that assaulted and battered a little kid for beating him in counter strike at a lan and people killing eachother over land in second life, is idiotic and quite frankly psychotic.
would you beat someone up at fanfest cause he podded you on multiple occations, or cause he scammed you in some way, or cause someone in the heat of battle or whatever got into an argument with you in game or in the forums, regardless what it was about? offcourse not.. unless your totally wonko.. what's in the game is not how people necessarily are in real life, that's why it's a game. we each have our oppinions and we _can_ all be friends, and if you find yourself in a position where you can't sit down and have a beer in real life if you met a guy that kicked your ass in some internet space ship game, or atleast not smack him around regardless what has occurred online. then you need to check yourself.
and even if they are like that in real life, you have the obligation to behave civilized and simply not engage in social interactions with them if they are completely intolerable to you.
but doing stuff like this, weither it be internet stalking and identity theft and other such manipulation or weither it be actually showing up on someones doorstep and kicking their ass is completely unacceptable and should be held in the highest of contempt (yes some psycho's have actually done that in the past, here's an example for you to consider: here it might give you a little perspective of how far away from reality some internet users can get.
so if you are so far out of touch with reality that you infact would condone this kind of action, or even ponder the option of partaking in such heinous acts, then you are just not right..
learn to deal with problems in a civilized manner instead, unless you desire a completely controlled society with no liberty and no democracy.

To OP: If you think this is an isolated problem, think again. Cross the Pacific and come over here. There's a reason why gaming limits were put into frikin law here.
One would care to remember the many articles and news clippings of people outright murduring other people for little things, mostly gaming, like that chinese/korean/insertasiancountryhere-ian nutcase who played till he died/killed someone for some internet lewt/sued someone IRL for an ingame scam/etc etc etc. -
